The world-famous Nosey the elephant is coming to Davenport, Florida, today (2/3/17) in what is expected to be a mixed welcome. Word on the street is that at about 6:30 pm today, about an hour before the Nosey circus opens, protesters are planning to gather.
Nosey is famous around the world and by A-list celebrities because of the life of this poor elephant. Captured at just two-years-old, Nosey has no elephant friends and lives a dark lifestyle. The conclusion is that Nosey’s owners are abusive and neglectful and that Nosey deserves to live in a sanctuary.
I met Nosey long before I knew her name at one of Davenport’s past circus events. It was the first time I left a circus sad. Unless you have no empathy at all, you could see Nosey was sad. It’s time to retire this elephant.
Nosey has her own website, the most active page for her, and she has two Facebook pages:
For those who want to say a word to Nosey’s sponsor, the Davenport Lions Club, check out their Facebook page, and here’s the address and phone number for the Lion’s corporate office.

I agree it’s time to retire Nosey and give her a better life.

Nosey was taken away from his Davenport, Florida, slumlord owners and put into an elephant sanctuary in Tennessee. The City of Davenport (A. Arrington) did nothing to help. It took brave locals and animal rights advocates to save Nosey with a much better life than ever before.
