Ducklings Beware

Wondering what happened to the ducks at Lake Play? (No, staff didn’t kill them, although — watch it, staff, we’re keeping our duckin’ eyes on you.) As it turns out, our local backyard chicken farmer, Martha, had them and with good reason. They laid eggs there in the company of her hens and Pitbull, her goose.

Just this week, Martha let them back out with sixteen healthy ducklings. Quite a return! One note to our wee, new friends: Beware; we have country folk here with their BBQ’s at the ready for fresh, young fowl.
