Meet Scott Woodlee: Advocate for All of Davenport’s Communities

Scott Woodlee on Davenport Facebook.

Timothy “Scott” Woodlee is vying for City of Davenport, Florida, Commissioner. Scott, who has been a Davenport resident since the early 2020’s and comes to us with almost 50 years of work experience. It includes military service, law enforcement services, and private investigations services.

I guess you could say he is law and order kind of guy. But what he’s most proud of is his military service. He is not only proud but exuberant. All this experience is what led him to become our community’s advocate, so-to-say, an activist, a public speaker at commission meetings, and a leader in whatever he does.

Since moving to Davenport, Scott has been very involved with the various communities throughout our city, hearing from constituents long before he decided to run. He has served on the Forest Lake HOA and CDD boards, the Davenport Parks & Rec Committee, the city’s Board of Adjustments, and is a regular presence at public Board of Commissioners’ meetings. As though that is not enough, he also volunteers as the city’s veterans’ events’ coordinator.

Life-long learning is a part of Scott’s makeup too. He completed the Davenport Citizens Academy and the Polk County Public Service Leadership Course over the years. I have a feeling he won’t be stopping there.

The city’s election will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Vote.
