Disbelief

I’ve been hearing more and more about American voters who don’t believe that what happened in Hitler’s Germany could happen here. Within the next four years, we will see if that is true. For all our progress, for all our education, I am in disbelief that these Americans actually exist. But exist they do.

And, now they’ve proven that they are the winners. What are the rest of us to do?

The apparent facts of this election show that the United States is firmly in MAGA hands. It wasn’t just the electoral college this time, it was the popular vote. Yesterday, I was sure we would win. Americans, I thought, could not be so stupid as to elect a monster like Trump, the anti-Christ, but we did. So what do we do now?

While I don’t have much in the way of answers to this question, I can say that the first thing anyone should do is evaluate spending and investments. How much cash do you have? Can you weather the storm of second Trump term? Will your stocks need to be reevaluated?

I foresee an economic roller coaster where Americans suffer tremendously from the redistribution of wealth from the bottom on up. I foresee the average American spending exorbitant amounts on groceries and other necessities. As even Trump warned, his whole process will be painful in the “beginning.” How long this beginning lasts is yet to be seen.
